Bubba Wreck Medical Marijuana Strain Review

From:  Natural Remedies

Grade:  A

Type:  Sativa-dominant hybrid, Bubba Kush x Train Wreck

Price:  $50/8th

Appearance:  (7/10) Very fluffy light green buds with plenty of long, straight orange hairs.  The look has a Hawaiian structure, and it has plenty of glistening trichomes dripping off the nugs.

Aroma:  (8/10) Extremely complex aroma coming from this medicine.  All types of sweet berries, orange, skunky, and menthol smells.

Taste:  (9/10) Taste is like the smell.  Absolutely exploding with so much scrumptious and indescribable flavors, but kush (sweet candy menthol) taste is distinctive on exhale.

Effects:  Has great expansion and the effect is very potent.  The bud hits very smooth and delivers a fast, clear cerebral high.  Very euphoric and psychadelic, but with the accompanying numb body common from indicas.

Duration:  Medium – Long. 1.75 – 2.5 hours

Medicinal Use:  (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  Even with the indica mixed in, it did not relieve my lower neck pains very well.  It does relax the body and numb headaches with its clear cerebral high.  Superb medication for the day time which keeps me motivated and functional.  Seems to focus on the head and the limbs – much less to the core body area.

Overall:  Definitely in my top 10 favorites for day time medication, and is crossed with one of our favorite strains Bubba Kush.  A very tantalizing smoke that emits plenty of delicious aromas, and the Train Wreck mixed in makes this an enjoyable medication.  The grower deserves our respect for harvesting such an aromatic and interesting strain.  It smokes beautifully, revealing countless different flavors, has beautiful shelf appeal and is a very good medicine.

SnowWreck (The Farmacy)

SnowWreck Medicinal Marijuana Strain Review

From:  The Farmacy

Grade:  B+

Type:  Heavy Sativa (Snow Cap x Train Wreck) – both are sativas known for potency and “speediness”

Price: $49 / 8th

Appearance:  Compact dense buds. This is one of those that at first sight you’re kind of like uhh may not be too great.

Aroma:  Snowcap is known for a minty smell but I doubt I would have picked that up without searching for it.

Taste:  Similar pine to the Trainwrecks we’ve reviewed – a slight menthol.

Buzz Type:  Strong energy inducement with a fair amount of body buzz.  Carried some headiness too.

Buzz Length:  Long. 2 – 3 hours (seemed to be longer through vaporizer)

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY) No pain, lots of energy and clarity in thoughts. I noticed my heart rate was elevated about 2.5 hours into it, it may have been longer but I noticed at that point.

Overall:  Really this bud took me off guard, I see buds day in and day out and this really didn’t seem too special, but it definitely was. Powerful head high felt immediately and just kept going and going. It also had some of the “flooring” effect found in the stronger diesel sativas and I will definitely pick this up again.

Trainwreck (Green Belly Co-Op)

Trainwreck Medicinal Marijuana Strain Review

From:  Green Belly Co-Op

Grade:  B

Type:  Hybrid – Sativa Dominant.

Price: $20/gram

Appearance:  This was a skinnier, longer bud.  Well taken care of and a 50/50 green to orange ratio.

Aroma:  Earthy, organic fertilizer.

Taste:  More pine cone than pine sol.

Buzz Type:  Heavy sativa.  Big drop off in mood and temperament at 1.5 hours.  We went from sitting to standing to laughing to agitated to complaining and finally to achey.

Buzz Length:  Long.  2 ½ – 3 Hours

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)   Do not take a heavy sativa like this for anything related to immediate sleep, though 3-4 hours after ingestion your body will be wiped out and comatose-like sleeping is very plausible.  Maybe fatigue or anti-social behavior.  I wouldn’t use this for extended pain relief.

Overall:  This Trainwreck sample is what I remember, MUCH better than the sample we previously reviewed.    At the outset and even 45 minutes into this strain we were sure it would be an A- at worst and had potential for an A.  The issue was that just like the best sugar rush, the down side was fierce.  The energy based rush that had me on my feet and ready to go dumped me on my butt just after it got me out of the house.  Though the buzz continued past 2 hours it was a downward, agitated feeling with multiple reviewers commenting on their aches and pains and general irritability.
