Plum Kush Medicinal Marijuana Strain Review

Type:  Indica heavy

Price:  $55/8th

Appearance:  Nicely manicured, dry.  Less frost dipped and more “magnetic” where the trichs look like they are static charged and extended straight off the bud.  Good mix of green, orange and the slightest purple – not the strong purple pheno of the previous sample.

Aroma:  Pungent Kush smell with a little something sweet in there.  Not as pungent as the previous sample.

Taste:  Kush mainly, a light mix of limeade and cough drop.  Big expansion, made me cough but not too harsh, similar to the last specimen we reviewed.

Buzz Type:  Strong. Took about 10 minutes to reach full effect, I felt a bit overwhelmed and found sitting down to be the most fitting option. The Plum Kush was a powerhouse that had a heavy Indica effect on me, leaving me at a place of total relaxation where I was numb & yawning but not tired.  To my surprise I was not drained, rather quite energetic afterwards, it just took some fight to stay out of my bed to get to that point.

Buzz Length:  Long. 2 ½ + hours with major linger.

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)   Excellent for lower back pain, I found mine completely vanished wile on these meds.  Also, I suggest this one for all of my fellow insomniacs who have trouble relaxing before bedtime.

Overall:  Powerful. Not for beginners, and for the vets out there be warned. The extended delay may cause some to over-do-it, so please be patient. Like all heady hitters, you may experience some fits of uneasiness and paranoia, but nothing a seasoned patient can’t handle.  Though this sample didn’t quite reach the level of its predessesor don’t be disappointed, its much like comparing Shaun White’s gold medal pipe runs, they were both very impressive.

Mars OG Kush Medical Marijuana Strain Review

Type:  Hybrid – Indica Dominant - OG Kush Pheno

Price:  Call to ask

Appearance:  Super dense light green buds with crimson tendrils.  The reason this Pheno is called Mars is from the very red nature and prevelance of the hairs.

Aroma: Designer fertilizer.

Taste:  Kind of a peppery wood flavor – not a stand out kush flavor.

Buzz Type:  Instantaneous effect (Mars is faster than the Asteroid) with a steady creeping rise, on to a very narcotic state.  Increased heart rate, chest pressure along with shaky hands and a seemingly inflated head all led me to believe that Mars might be a bit too far from home for me.  Then…mercy, after about 40 minutes I was on my way to a more manageable altitude.

Buzz Length:  Long. 2 hours (Earth OG Kush is known to last even longer)

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)   No pain detected at all, a head to toe pain reliever.

Overall:  With a name such as it has, the buzz had better be special.  This one was, very strong and delightful, missing only the scent and taste to deliver a world-class experience. Veterans only, beginners may find Mars to be far too powerful and may want to work on building up tolerance before venturing off into space. 

Asteroid Medicinal Marijuana Strain Review

Type:  Indica – OG Kush Pheno

Appearance:  A sugar dipped asteroid, lots of texture and a very pleasing visual cue.

Aroma:  Pungent pine cleaner mixed with menthol and had a sinus clear effect – smelled very “clean”.

Taste:  Sour & bitter pine taste. Pleasant and not harsh.

Buzz Type:  An off-the-bat strong starter where occurrence of stimulation in all senses is prevalent.  I would include feelings of increased heart rate, floating somewhat dizzy head, tingly limbs/fingers, and a decrease in visual awareness (tunnel vision).  I must admit for the first hour I was floored, feeling incapable of just about anything requiring activity or effort in thought.  However, I received a call I needed to take and a surge of functionality and sharpness arose.

Buzz Length:  Long. 2 ½-3Hours

Medicinal Use:  (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  No noticeable pain in my back and was even able to clear a slight stress headache.

Overall:  I went to two distinct states while on the Asteroid, one of complete somatic state that rose to one of capability (a nice mixed bag).  I also appreciated that I experienced zero paranoia from such a powerful strain.  This is a very potent indica that possesses enough sativa qualities to keep from locking you to the chair.  We were told this sample had a THC % higher than anything else reported in Colorado – I will concur that it is very strong, but no stronger than some of the other 20%+ samples we’ve reviewed.  The percentage quoted at the store (28%) seems to be wishful thinking and we were not shown testing reports.

Hindu Kush x Diesel Medicinal Marijuana Strain Review

Type:  Hybrid maybe even a 50/50

Price:  $20/gram

Appearance:  Dense, dry nuggets.

Aroma:  Sour, lemony kush scent.

Taste:  Really tastes like kush, just like the blunt wrapper in Kush Flavor.  Medium expansion.  Sweet after taste that lingers in the mouth.

Buzz Type:  Short and very back and forth, one minute I had energy the next I was tired then energy again.

Buzz Length:  Medium. 1.5 hours

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY) Not sure how medicinal this is with it being so back and forth as far as body and mental.  I did have a good appetite increase.

Overall:   This is an interesting strain as it is comprised of similar components as the I.N.T. but it had differing effects for all of us.  I recommend trying this in a small sample to see if your body reacts to the kush or diesel more strongly.  I know that I tend to get more out of the indica side of this strain but was witness to the exact opposite effect in others.
