Sweet Tooth (Breckenridge Cannabis Club)

Sweet Tooth Medical Marijuana Strain Review

From:  Breckenridge Cannabis Club

Grade:  B-

Type:  Hybrid – (ranges from sativa heavy to indica heavy depending on the seed/clone breeding) [Sweet Pink Grapefruit x DJ Shorts Blueberry] x Grapefruit

Price: Call to ask

Appearance:  Not too special, kind of blah for these days.  Was good and dry.

Aroma:  Sweet and pungent almost like a good blueberry – berries in general.

Taste:  Similar to smell, a sweet and sour tinge.

Buzz Type:  Felt a little more sativa dominant.  A nice strong start that made me kind of dizzy and admittedly aimed my mind in some strange directions.  Two troughs and two crests in this wave, drowsy/lazy, then motivated…twice. While in a crest phase, I was able to play my musical instrument with noticeable skill and focus. The trough phases were better suited for the couch.

Buzz Length:  Medium.  1.5 – 2 hours

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY) Didn’t really assist with my leg pains at all (mix of muscle and nerve).  Good for focus and mental acuity, but those attributes are mostly appreciated while I’m getting good pain relief.

Overall:  Sort of energetic but with the up and down it’s not one I would pick for  pure energy with the other options out there.  I’ve had better Sweet Tooth examples, like the one from Botanic Labs (though not reviewed here).

Urkel x O.G. Kush (CCF)

Urkel x O.G. Kush Medical Marijuana Strain Review

(Purple Urkel is commonly called Urkle or Erkle as well)

From:  Colorado Care Facility

Grade:  A-

Type: Purple Urkel OG Kush This combo felt like it was 65-75% Indica

Price:  $60/8th

Appearance:  Dark grayish green & purple, super dense and sticky.

Aroma:  Chemical Kush – a blend of soil, fuel, and the familiar kush scent.  (After this Urkel review we were very disappointed and stated we wouldn’t grab any Urkel sample unless it had a very strong purple/fruity scent.  Reality is the Kush is just so dominant I can’t pick out the Urkel.)

Taste:  Earthy Kush taste, a cleaner variety.

Buzz Type:   A real creeper that took its time to reach its potential.  It was a very subtle rise, so subtle that I didn’t even realize how affected I was.  It was also a very relaxing and calming buzz to the point where you can easily lose track of time  – at one point I hadn’t moved a muscle for an hour.  I found this one to be like one big wave, dropping me down for the first half and rising back through the second.  (Again, very contrary to the Urkle review previously.)

Buzz Length:  Medium-Long.  1.5 – 2.5 Hours (vaporizer seemed to last longer)

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY) Great for anxiety and overall mood. I didn’t notice any pain which is odd as there is a snow storm moving in which usually results in my pain being amplified.

Overall:  It’s official, the crossing of the two strains are better than the parts, with a B- and B+ combining for an A- grade.  I think this is a great marriage of the two strains as they complement each other well with similar relaxing and calming attributes (reputation and our historical context – it is quite clear the specimen of Urkle we got from Plants 4 Life was subpar).  I like this for someone who needs to relax for a few after a long day but needs to be productive afterwards (thank you kush) and  I will definitely pick this up from CCF when available.

Bordello (Cherry Creek Health)

Bordello Medical Marijuana Strain Review

From:  Cherry Creek Health

Grade:  B

Type:  Hybrid, indica dominant, maybe 60/40 range.  (Blackberry Apocalypse x Alexis [Sweet Tooth or Alexis or Euphoria])  Blackberry is a hybrid with a heavy body high.

Price: $55 member / $60 non-member (8th with tax)

Appearance:  Very loose, not the best grow but you can see it’s good herb.

Aroma:  Berry and natural, once crushed released a menthol scent.

Taste:  An acrid, woody almost bitter taste was present.

Buzz Type:  Indica, nice body buzz.  Received an immediate warm and tingly face and high concentration.  This was followed by a “mixed-bag” of not knowing exactly what to do.  Comes with a zone-out component, I watched part of a hockey game on TV for the first time in 3-4 years, followed by a bit of the spanish channel…

Buzz Length:  Medium.  1.5 hours

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  This had a facial and ocular focus, great for inducing drowsiness.  Good for pain as there is no ability to focus on it.

Overall:  This was a nice medium hybrid, a great one for early evening with the indica dominance.  It wasn’t a locker but a great relaxer and zoner.  This isn’t a staple at CCH, so when it’s in I would pick it up for a treat. Be sure to check the up coming edition of Most Hi for the re-review of the Plum Kush.

Blue Diesel (Cherry Creek Health)

Blue Diesel Medicinal Marijuana Strain Review

From:  Cherry Creek Health and their sister store SNW

Grade:  B+

Type:  Hybrid.

Price:  $55/8th

Appearance:  Well manicured, dry buds.

Aroma:  Artificial blue sweetener – cotton candy or melted sugar. (Research suggests two main phenos have been propogated, one very sweet and one very skunky; this is certainly the sweet variety).

Taste:  Semi-sweet, not a strong taste on this one (pipe smoked).

Buzz Type: Sativa front and indica end.  We all decided to try this one together and it had us on our feet interacting right away.  Conversation was flowing, laughter and creativity were present, and we had an overall uplifiting feeling.  Task management was a little distorted.

Buzz Length: Medium. 1.5 hours

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)   Excellent for appetite and pain relief.  Great for social aspects in the initial hour only.  Very sleepy at 1.5 to 2 hours after ingestion.

Overall:  This was a nice sample for a number of reasons.  It was an easy smoke with a mild expansion and gave us a nice happy kick in the pants.  If the Blue Diesel lasted another 30 minutes and didn’t dump so hard we’d have another A range grade for Cherry Creek Health.

Golden Goat (Delta 9)

Golden Goat Medicinal Marijuana Strain Review

From:  Delta 9

Grade:  B

Type:  Hybrid.  Strong Sativa Dominance. (Hawaiian Sativa x ISS x Romulan)

Price:  $40/8th

Appearance:  Does possess a golden hue.  Dry buds, well taken care of.  Plenty of trichs and tendrils to enjoy.

Aroma:  Smells like Durban Poison mixed with lemon juice.

Taste:  A sharp taste when smoked, tingly with a brief pine needle on exhale.

Buzz Type:  Quick and strong while it lasts – mild paranoia.  Sativa high, heart rate increasing.

Buzz Length:  Short. 1 – 1.5 hours

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  Certainly for appetite creation.  Worked for neck pain, but it didn’t last long.

Overall:  I like the Golden Goat, strong sativa that would make it very difficult to sit and watch a movie, or sit period.  It could have lasted longer and not had such a peak and valley.  A nice smelling, euphoric strain that may be utilized for short powerful bursts.
