Blue Hawaiian Medical Marijuana Strain Review

Type:  Hybrid, Blueberry x Hawaiian Kona

Price:  $50

Appearance:  (6/10) These flowers are simpy beautiful inside, covered with shiny trichomes and giving wonderful colors – lots of light greens and oranges.  The only issue is the sugar leaves protect but hide these pretty meds and could have been slightly more trimmed to enhance the overall appeal.  I found myself removing 15%-20% of each smokable nug to rid myself of the leaf content.

Aroma:  (8/10) Smells fantastic.  Smells of blueberry with a slight bitterness.

Taste:  (7/10) Sharp smoke with a hazy taste in the beginning and then a strong after-taste of fruity sweetness.

Medicine Effects:  Uplifting medicine that gets me motivated yet eases my nerves.  Very mellow and not too stoney, with a great body medication present as well.  The Blueberry provides the relaxing and pain relieving indica and the Hawaiian adds just enough sativa to allow fluid operation during the medicating process.

Duration:  Long. 2+ hours

Medicinal Use:  (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  Instantly cured my back and shoulder pain.  I didn’t feel any types of anxiety or paranoia while medicated.  The side effects lasted for about 2 hours, but the pain numbing effects wore off a little earlier.

Overall:  The Blue Hawaiian is a great looking strain with plenty of red hairs to add on to its marvel.  A bit leafy on the outside, but the inside is packed full of sparkly trichomes.  The buzz has a great balance of both head and body high, and a beautiful look and smell to match.  Personally, the only down side is the medication is not as strong as I usually like.  But, there is always a place and time for this type of smoke.

Gold Berry Medical Marijuana Strain Review

Grade:  B+

Type:  Indica Dominant (Pot of Gold x Blueberry)

Price:  $59/8th

Appearance:  Crazy amounts of orange hairs protrude from the frosty – small calyxes. Big fluffy buds with excellent leaf to bud ratio.  Very dry and just on the dense side of average.

Aroma:  A pleasant citrus on the sweet side, medium pungence.  Very nice.

Taste:  A smoke you feel, a little harsh but still pleasant.  A bit of berries.  Leaves a bit of a skunky after-taste.

Buzz Type:  Quick hitting, but quite mild.  The head rush doesn’t last long, but the body high is sure to get you relaxed and ready for bed.

Buzz Length:  Long. 2 – 2 ½ hours

Medicinal Use:  (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  This medication is great in relieving insomnia.  Really eases my stomach discomforts, and gives me great back pain relief.  Eases anxiety.

Overall:  Gold Berry (or Blue Gold) is a beautiful strain with an inviting odor and caked with red-hairs.  The smoke was very pleasant and relaxed the body as an indica should do.  The pain relief was great, but it didn’t last very long.  I still had a great buzz, but felt the pain in my back return about 30 minutes after toking.  Ended up falling asleep from re-medicating a few more times.  Excellent bedtime smoke.

Blue Dream Medicinal Marijuana Strain Review

Type:  Hybrid – sativa dominant  (Blueberry x Haze)

Price:  $50/8th

Appearance:  This is the worst portion of this bud sample, it just looked beat up.  External trichs were mashed and it looked like the flower was tumbled in a large bag.  Inside it looked like it was grown well, just handled roughly.

Aroma:  Slight hint of the berry, no real haze smell.  Low pungence level 4 out of 10.

Taste:  Mild sweetness, seemed like an older sample potentially.

Buzz Type:  Sativa.  Pretty strong Blue Dream, intial pickup was strong and presented itself smoothly.  Energy, focus, some relaxation qualities from the Blue.

Buzz Length:  Medium. 1.5 – 2 hours

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)   Created a huge appetite, different than the other Blue Dreams tested.  Good for muscular relaxation and behavioral issues, happiness is created for sure.

Overall:  This Blue Dream earns the B grade because of its rough appearance and lack of aroma. The smoke and buzz lasted a little longer than some of the others and even had a bit more potency than most.  With the options to get Blue Dream at most shops, most patients are going to want a better “presented” medication we believe and thus the lower grade.

Type: 80% Sativa / 20% Indica (DJ Blueberry x Haze)

Price:  $50

Appearance: Slightly dense buds with a great bud to leaf ratio.  A bluish hue around the buds with crystals falling off everywhere.  No visible damage or pests.  Dry.

Aroma: Very fruity aromatic smell.   A bit like 7up or Sprite.

Taste:  The smoke is a little spicy and sweet.  Mix of berries and cheese.

Buzz Type:  The head buzz kicks in fast and last about 30 minutes, and then lingered to the body for a minor sedating buzz.  Not too overwhelming, small possibility of paranoia and allows for daytime functionality.

Buzz Length:  Medium. 1.5 - 2 hours

Medicinal Use:  (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY) Really a nice smoke for a long lasting mellow buzz.  Its cerebral buzz is quite tame, and the body effect doesn’t drain me out too much.  Great pain medication for daytime and evening.

Overall:  Blue dream was a wonderful smoke with its sweet smell and great buzz.  I really liked that it lasted for a long time, while not being too overpowering causing drowsiness or dizziness.  This sample receives the same grade as the CAM Blue Dream but for different reasons.  The CAM sample is more amber and a little more potent, but doesn’t last as long and didn’t have quite the pungence of smell and taste.
