NOGGIN STRAIN INFORMATION
General Information
Type: Hybrid
Genetics: Blueberry x Northern Lights #5 x Trainwreck x BOGBubble
Geographic Origin: Colorado, USA
Seed Company/Clone: Clone only
Description: A veritable melting pot of genetic lines, this hybrid is as unpredictable as its lineage would indicate. When finished, it produces dense spear-shaped nugs that glimmer with trichomes and bright orange pistils.

Scent: Giving off a not particularly noticeable piney scent in the container, it turns into a lovely lemony-fertilizer burst of freshness when broken into.
Flavor: Some lightly sweet lemon blends with oddly spicy juniper
Effects: The effects of this strain are hard to pin down despite it being rather potent. It starts out with a racy set of Sativa effects that brings to mind the Trainwreck part of its lineage — a racing heart, some perspiration, and lots of facial ad ocular pressure cycling. Once that introductory state passed, it was a uniquely visual and cerebral experience, lending itself to solitary creative situations more than social ones. To finish it often comes with a fairly heavy crash, leaving the user lethargic, heavy-eyed, and ready for bed.

Bubbleberry (The Herbal Center)

Bubbleberry Medical Marijuana Strain Review
From: The Herbal Center
Grade: C+
Type: Hybrid, typically Indica dominant (Bubble Gum x Blue Berry)
Price: $40/8th Members
Appearance: (6/10) Pretty good manicure, not many leaves, and the ones that are present are nice and frosty. Pretty typical blend of greens with light orange pistils, decent amount of ambers in the interior calyxes of the cluster, but mostly clear/cloudly otherwise. Small seeds spotted in the grinder, very tiny and hard to see though. This may have caused some of the snapping/popping that happened, but the gray ash might also speak to a not-great flush.
Aroma: (7/10) Musky berry smell, not very sweet, but pretty pungent.
Taste: (3/10) Burned my throat a bit and made me cough several times. Not much taste in this sample, just smokey.
Effects: Intitially focused itself behind the eyes and gave a body high to the legs. This sample was not very potent, even when smoked heavily via the Incredibowl. It provided a slight pulsing sensation around the head for about an hour, and then remained only in the legs. This sample was difficult to describe because the potency just wasn’t great enough to produce easily identifiable traits.
Duration: Medium. Almost 2 hours
Medicinal Traits: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY) General relaxation and appetite stimulant.
Overall: For a very healthy dosage, this one was fairly weak in terms of potency. It was a nicely balanced and pleasurable high, but it just didn’t feel all that medicinal in terms of the potency and effects. While it helped my general tension, it didn’t do much of anything for my more severe pain and nerve issues. The taste and harsh smoke wasn’t my cup of tea at all, and neither was the aroma (though many might find that aspect more appealing). Compared to this Bubbleberry, it didn’t cut the mustard.
Blue Widow (Botanic Labs)
[smooth=id:189;]
Blue Widow Medical Marijuana Strain Review
From: Botanic Labs
Grade: A
Type: Hybrid indica dominant (Blueberry [F] x White Widow [M])
Price: $60/8th
Appearance: (8/10) The Blue Widow looked very pale and sugary to the naked eye. It was just on the far end of dry and dense coming very close to almost too…
Aroma: (9/10) The sample was very pungent with a scrumptious blue candy over a sweet fresh pine scent.
Taste: (8/10) The BW was just a tad harsh but not bad, and packed a big expansion. It tasted much like the smell with a sweet berry tone that was very pleasing.
Effects: The Blue Widow makes no bones about its indica nature and immediately delivers a calming wave. Pressure and stress melt away leaving the mind in a comfortable solitude and the body in a flacid state. Conversation and outside intrusion (TV/Radio/Computer) were found to be somewhat unpleasant but still performable if necessary. The couch and a book, or a towel and the sun, are where your mind and body will want to park and enjoy the long, relaxing ride.
Duration: Long. 2.5 – 3 hours
Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY) This strain is a great pain fighter, as are most Blue varieties. Additionally, the BW delivers total body relaxation for muscle and nerve issue associated with cramps, spasms, or rigidity. The eyes had a lot of pressure build up and release, and the overall sensation would be excellent for any tense person, be it body or mind.
Overall: Said best by one of our reviewers, “I’m not usually one for meds that close off the outside world, but this Blue Widow was damn nice. I felt right at home and truly enjoyed my own company, what a great strain.”
Bubbleberry (The Silver Lizard)
[smooth=id:203;]
Bubbleberry Medical Marijuana Strain Review
From: The Silver Lizard
Grade: B
Type: Indica-dominant hybrid, Bubblegum x Blueberry
Price: $50/8th
Appearance: (7/10) A classic dark green indica, with about 15% of the trichomes falling into early amber. Well manicured, but not superb. Very fat, bubbly calyxes.
Aroma: (7/10) Very sweet, can easily pick out the Bubblegum scent. Moderate pungency.
Taste: (5/10) Bubble gum dominant, sweet not berry. A bit harsh and induced coughing. Flavor was only found on “green” hits, not real strong. Did not burn to clean white ash and had some popping under the flame.
Effects: Strong body high, almost immediately. Provided a very heavy experience, eyes and head. Strong couchlock and space-out tendencies, which increased an hour in. This was not a “clean” experience, rather a heavy and somewhat muddled one.
Duration: Long. 2 hours
Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY) Sleep aid, pain reflief, muscular relaxation, spasm control.
Overall: I was pretty impressed with this Bubbleberry overall — neither strain is normally one of my favorites, but this combination was nicely potent and had enough appeal in the other areas to warrant a B. If it was graded for the strain itself, it’d be an A- to A, with the possible flush issues and the somewhat muted taste being the detractors. The harvest timing and the grow quality in general was solid, and I look forward to trying more strains from the Silver Lizard, as they did a good job with this average strain.
