Bubbleberry Haze Bubble Hash (Boulder MMC)Review

Appearance

This sample of bubble hash was a pleasantly waxy, medium brown color that would lighten up to a tan color when broken open or scratched with a fingernail. It was thought that this sample was perhaps a little bit dry, as it crumbled into a kiefy powder relatively easily, but the texture was still easy enough to work with that it wasn’t a problem.  The powder that it breaks up into is lightly sticky and will sort of disappear into your fingers if it’s handled too much after being broken up.  We couldn’t see any visible particulate, but that was likely due to the structure of the hash, which made inspection somewhat difficult.

Flavor

This was the area in which this sample really shined, as it provided a fairly amazing floral slightly sour berry flavor that hung in the mouth for minutes after the initial few hits.  The flavor did degrade after the initial hits (as hash always seems to do), but it still had a soft floral berry flavor even as it was burning like a coal and turning to ash.  We experienced the best flavor via the skillet, but that apparatus is more meant for oil and the texture of this sample led us to stick with the glass pipe + screen combo, which also produced great flavor.  This hash is expansive and will likely induce coughing, so watch the inhale size if you’re a patient who can’t deal with coughing.

Overall

The flavor of this hash is something that almost anyone would enjoy, and it surprised our crew at how accurate it was to the flavor of the parent strain — it was all berries, flowers, and a bit of spice, as one would expect.  It wasn’t top-level bubble in terms of the way it melted, but it certainly did melt and we’d call it “full melt”, though it falls short of “clear dome”.  We appreciated also how the effects seemed to mimic what we’d expect out of the parent strain, with an uplifting and mind-opening type of experience that felt eminently Sativa in scope.  We like this hash as a daytime choice for patients who need something stronger than flowers but still want to function and be mentally-aware.
