Black Domina Medicinal Marijuana Strain Review

From:  The High Country

Grade:  B+

Type: Indica - (Afghani Indica x Canadian Ortega/Northern Lights x Hash Plant)

Price:  $45/8th

Appearance:

Aroma:  Pine and eucalyptus

Taste:  Earthy eucalyptus taste

Buzz Type:  Powerful.  A good 5 minutes after medicating I felt an initial rise in energy and heart rate.  After 10 minutes I felt that the 5 hits I took might have been too much.  Thankfully that feeling didn’t last throughout, and not long after I came to a more sustainable level at 80-85% of its peak intensity.  This one stayed mostly in my head taking me to a cerebral state of visual awareness yet leaving me a bit dopey and scatter-brained.  My cupboard doors and hinges were definitely tested this evening.

Buzz Length: Medium Long. 1.5 – 1.75 hours

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)   I had a lot of lower back pain when reviewing this strain (though obviously not for the truly severe pain levels out there).  Though it did assist by relieving some modicum of pain I found it more suitable for relieving pressure on my eyes and head in general.  Would also recommend to induce appetite.

Overall:  It has been many years since I’ve seen the Black Domina come around and I was excited for this review.  I like this one a lot for a night in, but feel I might embarrass myself a bit if I took it public. I would have liked it to last a bit longer for a better grade but will never turn down an opportunity to visit Black Domina again.

Phnom Penh (The High Country)

Phnom Penh Medicinal Marijuana Strain Review

From: The High Country

Grade:  B

Type:  Hybrid. Sativa dominant supposedly (Powerplant x Thai x Haze or Cambodian x Thai x Haze?)

Price: $45/8th

Appearance:  Looked like some shwag until photographed, then it was one of the more intriguing buds I’ve seen.

Aroma:  Sweet tea and sage.

Taste: Not much but I did notice a hint of lemon/sweet.

Buzz Type:  Very calming, not overpowering and very much functional, but I was left a little agitated.  Felt like a good hybrid, or a conflicted Indica that let its sativa out to play (not exactly like the Sativa dominated buzz I expected).  I was able to stay motivated and sharp – productive.

Buzz Length: Medium. 1.5 hours

Medicinal Use: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  Not a pain strain in my opinion. Good for anxiety and other psychological issues.

Overall:  I was very excited to try this strain because it seemed exotic, and it is. It’s very calm and steady and a good working strain but not one I would recommend for pain.  Might work for anxiety, and is a good morning medicine.
