Summit Sweet Skunk Medical Marijuana Strain Review

From:  Denver Kush Club

Grade:  B

Type:  Sativa hybrid, see its strain encyclopedia page for more info

Price:  $50/8th

Appearance:  (7/10) Fairly loose structure with yellowish-green nugs and a few spots that have a purple undertone.  A little leafy and jar appearance isn’t the best, but packed with glistening trichomes and beautifully long red hairs.  Typical sativa spear shaped bud, but we found one small seed under the microscope.

Aroma:  (6/10) First initial smell is a skunky aroma but grinding produced no further pungence.  Has a little bit of piney-citrus in it as well but not a “sweet” smeller.

Taste:  (5/10) A bit of popping when lit, and burned to a gray/white ash – not throughly flushed.  Had a mild citrus taste with medium expansion.

Effects:  The SSS doesn’t quite deliver the upward feeling experience you would suspect.  There is an initial cerebral rush and euphoria focusing on the head and eyes.  However, by 20 minutes you will feel a heavy and lazy head, eyes heavy and mind turning off.  The body effect is noticeable but not strong enough to really wash out neck and back stress.  The best comes first and is over fairly quickly.

Duration:  Medium. 1.5 hours

Medicinal Use:  (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  Total body relaxer (mild) with no uneasy feelings that cause anxiety or stomach issues.  Possible insomnia remedy.

Overall:  The Summit Sweet Skunk is a strain we will review again for sure.  A Colorado local and often favorite, the SSS is often sought for its easy sativa ride, but we found a rushing body medication that peeters out and leaves a patient heavy and exhausted while only providing mild pain and relaxation attributes.  The SSS smells pretty good and has some good heritage (either lineage story above) so you may find yourself giving it a try.  We will again I’m sure, but not too soon.

Moby Dick Medical Marijuana Strain Review

From: Denver Kush Club (DKC)

Grade:  A-

Type:  Sativa-dominant hybrid, Haze x White Widow (see Strain Encyclopedia page for more info)

Price:  $50/8th

Appearance:  (6/10) Very light in color, white widow sugar like crystals but base color is almost yellow.  Compact and very dense buds with a hint of purple to the naked eye.

Aroma:  (4/10) A haze smell is apparent with a bit of pine.  Low pungence level.

Taste:  (4/10) A bit bland.  Earthy, organic taste.

Medicinal Type:  A hybrid type that is pretty balanced in the medicine department.  Takes a minute or two for it to get to its maximum potential and really delivers a great package of body and head. The peak didn’t last very long but ended up being the transition from body relaxation to soft sativa ride.

Medicinal Length:  Medium. 1.5 – 2 hours

Medicinal Use:  (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  Relieved my headaches and stomach cramps.  Mild sedative for back pain.  Excellent muscle relaxer from the Widow, allowed me to stop the “body shaking” I was experiencing.

Overall:  Mix of Haze (sativa) x White Widow (indica), the genetics speak for themselves.  Incredible blend, and to top it off, it looks like it was grown very proper.  Great bag appearance and a powerful medicinal state to go along with it.  The taste and smell are a bit bland, but it smokes very nice.
