A government by the people for the people. The words that formed this great nation. Today it looks very different. A large land mass built on immigration and opportunity whose government now impedes both. The Occupy Wall Street movement has shown this country and the rest of the world that the people of the United States have had enough of a government run by Wall Street and Big Pharma. The war machine continues to churn and now that the wars overseas have become unpopular our elected officials have turned their war on the great people of this country.

Medical Marijuana has been voted into law by the will of the people in 16 states and the Federal Government continues to imprison sick patients for using a 100% natural substance to help themselves heal. Somewhere along the line the federal government began concerning itself with how people make themselves happy and felt they should have the right to decide how,when and where for every individual in the nation. What happened to the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness?  People are in the streets complaining that they can’t find a job while the Federal Government is threatening to not only take away needed medicine from people, but also take away much needed opportunities for employment.

The Medical Marijuana industry employs approximately 15,000 people nationwide. Many of these people joined the Medical Marijuana industry not only because they have compassion for patients, but also as a way to stay employed during a time when un-employment is at an all-time high. These are the same people who cannot pay their mortgages because the Federal government allowed the banking industry to run wild with derivatives and sub prime loans.

Medical Marijuana users are not criminals. Individuals and organizations, who threaten, intimidate, ignore facts, and manufacture the truth are criminals. Medical Marijuana users ingest a natural substance to feel better. Recreational Marijuana users do the same.

We stand united as the people of the United States whose rights and privileges have slowly been eroded by the over reaching agencies of the Federal Government. The government that was formed to unite this great country and protect its inhabitants from the evils outside its borders has become a fear machine aimed directly at its own people. We will not be afraid. The Medical Marijuana users and business owners in California stand united with the disillusioned of this country who continue to help the Occupy Wall Street movement grow. Your threatening letters do not scare us they unite us. Your ignorance of the facts is what scares us.
