Mission
We will deliver the most honest and unbiased medical marijuana reviews and information available on the web. Nobody is going to care more about the PLANT and the PATIENT than KindReviews, that’s our promise.
History
In 2007 our founder’s sister was diagnosed with Stage 3c ovarian cancer, often terminal. She underwent rigorous chemotherapy and multiple surgeries. She was left without the energy to eat or even cry. He knew that marijuana could offer her some relief and suggested she discuss it with her doctor. The particular doctor refused and offered Marinol which failed miserably at providing her an adequate appetite and thus the basic standard of energy the body needs. Unfortunately for her, she had to find alternative avenues to source the medication. She was unable to smoke and her options for edibles, multiple strains, and lotions were non-existent. She persevered and made her own teas and oils. Though she was still extremely sick, she was able to gain her energy back and saw significant improvement even after just the first day. We knew there was a better way and we knew we must always remain committed to the two fundamentals: patients and medicine.
KindReviews.com was started in July 2009 when it was clear that information about medical marijuana was lacking, especially in regards to reviewing medicine in a professional and methodical manner. While there are other strain review websites online, we are the only one with a committed and stable team of reviewers and a process that remains consistent from strain-to-strain. Beginning at first with a single member, KindReviews grew to a team of professional reviewers and has compiled a library of hundreds of detailed strain reviews in multiple states. Our emphasis in all of our reviews will be the patient.
Culture
We have been a part of the action since the early 90′s and we have all individually worked hard to provide access to MMJ in Colorado, as well as the rest of the nation. We believe in the merit, we support the cause, and we’ve put our money and time where our mouths are. In short, we care, and that will never change.
Our goal is to be an advocate for patient rights while also working with medical marijuana centers (MMCs) to improve their product to ensure medical marijuana patients are able to find and safely consume the medicine that helps them most. As a part of this, we “scope” every strain that comes to us in an effort to find any pests and mold, which has led to many batches of infected medicine being pulled from the shelves. We will continue to improve our technology and staff in order to make this process more effective for patients.
