Grape Stomper Medical Marijuana Strain Review

FromAdvanced Medical Alternatives

Grade:  B+

Type:  Mostly Sativa hybrid, Purple Elephant [Hash Plant x Purple Urkel] x [ChemDawg x Sour Diesel]

Price:  $18/g

Appearance:  (8/10)  One of the densest, driest samples we’ve had in quite some time, the spear-shaped nug was hard to break up without the aid of a grinder.  The trichomes seemed from a distance to be busted up and broken, but upon closer inspection, they were mostly intact and cloudy.  It was a light, frosty green and the purple lineage was nowhere to be seen on our sample.

Aroma:  (8/10)  A fresh candy grape scent greeted us in the jar, and sweetened up even further when ground.  There were no traces of the other half of the lineage, it was pure purple grape goodness.

Taste: (6.5/10)  While two of three reviewers found little else aside from a smokey, woody, hashy taste, one reviewer picked up a faint sweet grape.  It was certainly subdued, and much of that was probably due to the complete lack of moisture in the sample…  The smoke was relatively harsh and expansive, burning into a thick yellowish cloud that made us cough.  It burned to a light gray mottled ash, indicating a solid flush.

Effects:  With a fairly quick onset about 3 minutes after the first hit, a buzzy and energetic feeling throughout the body made us feel light and capable.  The eyes filled with pressure and burned slightly, a feeling that carried on throughout the experience.  A bit rushy and cerebral, it had us a little on the anxious side, alternating with spacey/laughy moments.  About 1.5 hours in, it changed to a more Indica experience, with some muscle relaxation properties, heavy eyes, and a tinge of tiredness.  It left us feeling slightly drained and tired as it faded out.

Duration:  Medium-Long, about 2.5 hours

Medicinal Traits: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  Energy at first, slight mood elevation, ocular attention throughout, sleep aid towards the end… a varied experience.

Overall:  We want to try this one when it’s fresh from a cure jar and sitting around 10% moisture rather than at the uber-dry state in which we got this one.  It seems that the dryness level sucked much of the flavor out of it, making the smoking experience tougher than it needed to be.  Despite that, it was a fragrant and rather potent sample that sent us on an up-then-down journey.  People who like the purple/grape qualities in bag appeal but want more of a Sativa experience (at least at first) should check this one out.

Indeed, that barely edges out the Denver Relief Bio-Diesel as the highest total cannabinoid content we’ve had tested on the site so far. Nice CBD percentage on this one too, higher than most… and even with the high THC, it was a solid ratio, making up 0.63 of the 10 points overall.

Because of the texture it seemed like it was ‘rolled’ or something, but it was apparently totally intact, as the pictures and the test numbers showed. Agh, I wish we got this before it was allowed to dry out to 6.64% moisture content… I think it would’ve smoked MUCH better.

Too bad the sample was so horrible… One of the best qualities about this strain is the fact that its packed with sweet grape tastes. Smells like pure candy!

I’ve become very familiar with the strain. It’s a favorite among me and my friends. I would say that it is best smoked before it is completley cured to really enjoy that grape taste it needs to be somewhat moist. And forget a grinder i suggest putting it in a shotglass abd cut it up with very sharp scissors, it is truly Super sticky. And the high is heavy and the onset is like two three minutes tops. One of my favorite strains hands down.
