This sample had moderate trichome coverage, but a decent amount had been damaged or otherwise were missing heads. The ones that were preserved though ranged from clear to deep blood red, with lots of champagne-colored heads in-between, showing a patient harvest. The bud structure was open and Sativa in appearance, with a fair amount of thin, dark green guard leaves leaves left on. While we were not really wowed by the appearance, the harvest timing and maturity level made up for it quite a bit.
A Haze influence seemed clear based on the aroma, which was a fresh and lightly sweet aroma which recalled some of the non-spicy/acrid Haze varieties (Super Lemon Haze came to mind, though this sample had almost no citrus elements). It’s not an outright pungent sample, but was very pleasant to smell, especially after grinding. A soft, light flavor was all that was detected with this one, similar to the aroma but it had a pleasing floral spice quality that definitely came through on the palate. The smoke was very smooth throughout the session and left behind a form-holding light gray and white ash, showing a very good flush.
