Gnarley Marley from New Age Medical
Strain: Gnarley Marley
From: New Age Medical
Pickup Date: 6/8/2011
Inspection Status: Pass
This sample passed pest and mold inspection with no signs of trouble, and was very frosty and potent-looking with the naked eye. Though our sample seemed to contain some “larfy” lower buds, the trichomes were mostly well-preserved (~75% retaining heads), if a little early harvest-wise, though that may have been intentional to accentuate the Sativa qualities. The buds were rather shaggy with guard leaves, but those leaves were covered in short trichomes, so it wasn’t a huge problem for us. No signs of any other problems with this one, it was well-grown and well-handled.
A sweet, tangy, fruity, tropical type of scent greeted us upon cutting open the sealed gram bag it came in, bringing to mind mango candy. The aroma is nicely pungent pre-grind, but definitely increases in pungency after grinding, with some additional flowery elements coming out of the background. The flavor wasn’t quite as nice, only giving a strong flavor on the first 2 hits and then converting to a smokey and somewhat harsh smoke for the remainder of the bowl. It was a lightly sweet and mentholated flavor with hints of lime that didn’t really match the aroma. The final ash was a medium gray with some white, showing a solid, but not great flush.

holy crap that stuff looks awesome. they were right obviously to leave a lot of leaf on the buds, the leaves are just as covered in sugar as the calyxes, if not more so!! by the way, could you tell me what the strain lineage is of this?
