Blue Dream Medical Marijuana Strain Review

Appearance: (9/10) Simply put, this is the best-looking Blue Dream we’ve seen to date — absolutely loaded with tall clear-cloudy trichomes, made up of fat, bubbly calyxes, and with no flaws so speak of. This sample was well cared-for after harvest, as it was in pristine condition and perfectly dry and dense.
Aroma: (8/10) A floral berry sweetness with a slight bite reminded us quickly of the lineage… smells almost exactly as you would expect. It’s not super-sweet, but just enough to remind you that it’s a Blueberry, which is perfect to go with the slightly spicy and sharp notes provided by the Haze. This sample was also nicely pungent, broadcasting its scent easily from the jar or when ground up.
Taste: (8/10) The taste was sweeter than the smell, giving off an almost “purple” sweetness to go along with a floral Haze background and a distinct fruitiness. The smoke wasn’t that expansive or harsh, making it a nicely-predictable experience.
Effects: This one was strong at the onset (though one reviewer reported some “creeper” tendencies), with a flushed face, a bit of sweating, and pressure in the head/face. Definitely a Sativa-dominant start, and that continued with a very cerebral state, with thoughts running rampant and small tasks turning into analytic riddles to be solved… heady indeed, and probably very suitable for creative pursuits. It felt a bit narcotic as well, with a lolling head and a relaxed, warm body. As it went on, it calmed down a bit mentally, producing a relaxed yet clear and thoroughly awake state that finished extremely clean.
Duration: Medium-Long, 2 – 2.5 hours
Medicinal Traits: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY) Anti-depression, appetite stimulation, mood elevation, anti-anxiety, mild body pain relief, possible ocular relief.
Overall: Although it ties in grade with this sample and this one, this is the best Blue Dream we’ve had so far in several areas, certainly in regards to the appearance and peak potency. Aside from the first 10 minutes or so, which were a little on the extreme side, this strain was thoroughly enjoyable for all of our review staff and provided a host of medical benefits. It was immaculately grown, well-timed, and well-kept — great job by the guys at Delta 9. Though we see a lot of this strain, this one made us really pay attention and pay it some respect… it really has great potential along with being a big producer.

Yeah, the only Blue Dream I’ve personally had that really compares to this one (I wasn’t around to try the other A- samples posted on KR) is one I found at Botanico a long time ago, which was just uber-tasty and strongly Sativa effects-wise… felt almost like it was just a Haze. But yeah, this one is serious… I really love the structure and the size/condition of the trichomes, really beautiful stuff. We certainly hope D9 makes it also!
