Inspection Status: Pass

Though it seemed that we ended up with some of the last of the harvest (the nugs were small and clearly lower buds), we were definitely impressed with this Banana Kush, which passed pest/mold inspection with no signs of problems.  Despite coming from the bottom of the jar, the trichomes were surprisingly well-preserved, with abundant coverage of intact heads spanning the range of color, with approximately 10% ambers.  We really had nothing to complain about on the appearance of this one, though we did find one tiny, thin, immature seed in one of the buds.  Overall, it was nearly flawless appearance-wise for the strain.

The reason we ended up with this one was the uncanny banana smell we got from the big jar, which stayed mostly intact in the bag at home, smelling more like an actual banana than banana candy.  It had a slight vegetal element to it that made it seem richer and more authentically banana than most samples of this strain we’ve smelled.  The flavor preserved that sweet banana flavor for the first 2-3 hits, then turned to a more generic sweet and hashy smoke, burning away to a fluffy mottled gray/white ash.  Great job by the grow team on this one, it was one of the better examples of Banana Kush we’ve come across.
