Albert Walker Medical Marijuana Strain Review

From:  Stone Mountain Wellness

Grade:  A

Type:  Hybrid [Reasonably believed to be an Afghani lineage, majority of our reviewers found a heavy uplifting sativa affect for 20-30 minutes, then into a realxed indica state.  Personally, I was the outlier finding heavy indica traits directly after ingestion and wasn't able to get out of my seat for a solid half-hour.  Then it turned energetic just about the time others reported a major indica high coming on.] *See more story below.

Price:  $50/8th

Appearance:  (8/10)  Up close this sample was dark hues, but at arms length appeared much lighter.  About 30% of the sample is covered in pistils.  Nice and dry, and medium density.

Aroma:  (8/10) A lemon skunk scent, very pungent when ground or crushed.

Taste:  (8/10) Smoked via rolling papers at request of Caregiver.  A lemon flavor felt through a tingly tongue (think sour menthol for feeling not taste) – very tactile taste on this sample.  It was a medium harshness smoke, since rolled we couldn’t see the ash color, but it tasted well flushed.

Effects:  This medicine came on hot and strong.  Immediately felt a dramatic heat flash leading to full body perspiration with my eyes swelled and teared.  A huge burst of energy and excitability was introduced within the first 5 minutes, finding an immediate need to expend some on small exercise.  The body felt limber, loose and capable while the head was light and silly yet sharp and fully functioning.  As time flew by I felt an overall shift  to a more relaxed state feeling equally comfortable sitting or standing, now able to better focus for a work day, all with no drop in potency. The cerebral aspects of this strain are felt the entire way from ingestion through the linger stage.

Duration:  Very Long.  Easy 3 hours

Medicinal Traits:  (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY) Has solid pain management, differing levels of energy for fatigue depending on patient (most reported some energy), and definitely great for mood enhancement.

Overall:  We all really like this Albert Walker sample, not only a great strain, but grown very well.  It is interesting to note that we had at least one outlier that experienced almost exact opposite waves during this medication (started indica and then went way sativa) so please learn how it affects you prior to heavily medicating.  This was also one of the longest lasting medicines we have experienced, and from a typical small dosage, NOT ingesting larger volumes.

STORY:  So many rumors and stories exist on the web, so we asked someone we trust.  Here it is…

All I know for sure is this strain is OLD.  Most people that are familiar with AW are OLD school hippies who followed the Dead tours.  No one seems to know where it came from.

IMO, by its growth and flowering traits I would classify it as a Garlic/Lemon Afghani possibly an Afghani Skunk.  It is one of the most interesting cultivars of cannabis I’ve ever grown.  It breeds really well.  When grown properly it yields quite well.  While not the strongest high, I love the character of the stone and the flavor is beyond unique.  Extremely hard to grow and clone, due to age possibly.  Most people who grow it screw up and kill it before they learn to dial it in.

Only a few people have access to the clone. ThaDocta brought it out of hiding about 7-8 yrs ago, before then it was hoarded even tighter than today…

63-67 days of flower depending on temps and nutrient schedule.

While it is not very indica dominant, it does remain short & squat and finishes in 8-10 weeks.15f temp differences between day & night & lots of humics really up trichrome, terpine, flavenoid production. I take it to 70 If I can. I flush w molasses as it does more of the same while acting as a mild leaching agent. until the fans fall off. Once the plant metabolizes all stored foods in it’s reserves near everything is it properly leached. Dry until crispy and cure. It’s all in the health, flush n cure.

My albert walker clones are vigorous and healthy and I’ve had little difficulty keeping them. As far as the strain being hard to dial in I can’t agree. She loves nutes and has a great indica structure; much more vigorous than my pre-98..

These comments are quite strange. I’ve grown AW for ten years. It does not “remain short and squat.” It more than doubles (sometimes tripling) in height during the first three weeks of flowering. It is indeed difficult to grow, with a variety of problems that can manifest at most any stage. It is not, however, particularly difficult to clone.

Seems possible that “Toohighmf” does not possess actual AW.
