Velvet Haze Medical Marijuana Strain Review

From: Green Belly Co-Op

Grade:  A-

Type:  Sativa-dominant hybrid, Velvet Elvis x Haze OR Blue Velvet x Haze

Price:  $50/8th

Appearance:  (6/10) Very golden, when compared to the jar of Super Silver Haze it looked like two metals – Gold and Silver.  Compact, dense nuggets with small leaf structures.

Aroma:  (5/10) Earthy Afghani smell.

Taste:  (5/10)  Thick skunk and nutmeg, some hashy aftertaste.

Medicine Type:  This is a slightly “stoney” medicine with the heavy amount of amber trichomes, but it wasn’t so narcotic that you go brain dead.  This was a nice combo of body warming and mental function.

Medicine Length:  Long.  2.5 hours

Medicine Uses: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  Wonderful mix of cerebral and body makes this kind a great medical strain.  Smoke is smooth on the lungs, with slight expansion, and eases body aches for quite a long time.  Cerebral buzz, with a sedating effect, also make this perfect for keeping the mind at ease or an anti-anxiety medication.

Overall:  The Velvet Haze is a quick medicator and you will feel instant headiness and possible “over-did-it” feeling if youa re not used to this sativa base.  The first hour may contain uneasiness but the second is no sluch itself as this strain packs a potency not expected in the run of the mill nugget.  In fact, a perfectly grown and handled Velvet Haze would easily get a 2nd Chance at earning an A.
